Additional information

Here are some questions I sometimes ask when I receive a request for translation. The more answers you can provide, the better!

  • Do you need the translated file by a particular date? If so, when?

  • What is the format of the file to be translated? Examples: Microsoft Word, SDLXLIFF, ‘true’ PDF, scanned PDF, image file such as JPG or TIFF, PowerPoint file, Excel file, InDesign file,…

  • In what format do you want the translated file?

  • Is a CAT tool required? If yes, which one?

  • Does formatting need to be reproduced?

  • Is it OK if I send you any queries at the same time as the translation? If you want more time to address queries, I can send them individually as they arise or in small batches.
